Step Five: Build Your Home
Once you've described your home, picked a building method, chosen your logs and decided upon a building plan we are ready to start the preliminary actions necessary to start rolling the logs for your dream home.
Once we start building your home, we will connect with you each week by phone, email and photo udates. Of course you are absolutely welcome to visit the building site at any time and if you have any urgent questions you can call our direct line on the building site.
When will your home be ready? Once we start the building process, your new log home will generally be completed in 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the size. We mark each log carefully to assist in the reassembly process, which can take anywhere from 2 to 7 days. We will also send one man to supervise the reassembly, and you will be fully briefed on all the do's and don'ts to take care of your new log home.
What's the next step? Let us know you are thinking about building your dream home and we can schedule a first appointment (phone or in-person) to get you started. We work on a first-come, first-served basis, so the sooner we can schedule your project, the more certainty you will have about the construction timeline and move-in date for your new log home.
Your Log Home Package/Shell will include:
- your choice of house logs (ie: Fir, Cedar, Other)
- window/door openings

Depending on the location of your new home, there may be specific regulations pertaining to your project, that must be addressed to a local engineer, or even government agency (ie: wood species, size of structure, transport length, etc).
Note: logs are sprayed as required with environmentally responsible solutions to help prevent premature discoloration (UV, mold, fungal) during the construction phase.
